Ribar Tavern is located inside the fishing rural household Ančić Antun in Trpanj.

Therefore, apart from fishing which is our main activity, we are also engaged in agriculture and olive growing for the needs of our rural household..
Fishing has been the primary activity of Trpanj's inhabitants for hundreds of years, as testified by the ruins of the old fish processing factory located on the waterfront and by the numerous Dalmatian fishing boats in our port.
However, the real fishermen using traditional tools have almost disappeared, while Antun Ancic-Ris, the tavern owner, is one of the last ones to resist the trend and to eagerly show you the century-long local fishing methods; if you are lucky enough, you will also be able to taste your own catch in our tavern.
Olive growing has existed in the Pelješac region ever since the old Greek times, when the Greeks brought this noble plant here while travelling along our beautiful coast.
Our family holding boasts top quality extra-virgin olive oil that we produce from centuries-old olive trees grown on Trpanj hills, which we have been passionately growing for generations. We only use our own family oil for our tavern's specialities and for you to sample.
Wine production is Pelješac's main industry and we have an excellent selection of Pelješac wines stored in traditional wooden caskets.
We also organize wine tastings and visits to the winery, with the possibility to purchase world famous Pelješac wines at favourable prices.
